Equipment Reservations

At Monsoon Fire, we are proud of our inclusive space and cutting-edge equipment.  Members can easily reserve studio time through our portal.    

 

• Sanding / Painting Station - Sand or paint your work under a vented hood.  Cuts down on the dust and need for masking.
• Dropoff / Pickup Station - We provide a secure, after-hours,  locked safe for dropoff.
• Wheel - We offer Skutt's best production wheel available, the Stephen Hill standing model. Sit or stand, it's smooth and does all the work - no more repetitive stress!  Attachments like auto-centering tools are also available.
• Pugmill - Typically we use this workhorse for our clay recycling efforts, but it's available if you need to do a specialty recycling run - or if you just don't feel like wedging.

• 3D Printers - 3D Printing can provide fast access to unique tools and molds as you need them. Monsoon Fire offers both PLA and SLA printing workstations.  

• SlipCasting - If you've got a plaster mold, we can provide stoneware slips to help you realize that shape!
• Glaze Kitchen - Want to try your hand at making new glazes or testing existing ones?  
• Mold Making - Take positive parts and make plaster molds for slipcasting based on their features.

• Handbuilding Tables - Ample space to build, with plenty of rollers and texture tools a plenty to play with.

• Theatre Projector Demo Area - Stop squinting at a screen and instead take a look at our 12' projection space.  Great for demos and instructional videos.
